In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
