BF6 BR Mode Arrives Very Soon as a F2P Offering
After months of rumors, the battle royale mode for BF6 is officially releasing. Recent speculation claiming its release would happen alongside Season 1 were spot-on. Players can jump into the action starting in just a day.
Launch Season Bringing a New Map, Mode, and Weapons
Alongside the BR mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. This adds a new map, a new mode, and fresh guns. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is making its debut. An embedded teaser will become available at release, giving players a taste of what's to come.
Complimentary Model Enables Redsec Open to All
Maybe the biggest news is that the battle royale mode will be complimentary. In the vein of established offerings, you don't have to own the main title to participate. Some participants have already tried early versions of the mode. These playtests were conducted in a testing environment, which the team described as their biggest community collaboration effort.
The adrenaline rush when facing another squad is unmatched in different battle royale. It's like do or die, and you actually care if you make it or not.
Although I was a snob earlier, I'm fully a fan of the new mode after playing it.
These initial feedback from testers have been overwhelmingly favorable. Of course, the gameplay may have been adjusted over the past month or two in terms of tuning and pace. Still, early signs are promising that the battle royale could become a genuine competitor to leading titles. Players are expecting that the most effective firearms from the main game will also apply in the BR.
