The House investigative committee has published a set of around 70 images from the estate of former adjudicated sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third release from a larger collection of over 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It features images of quotes from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a female's body, and obscured photos of women's overseas passports.

This release arrives hours before the December 19th deadline for the DOJ to make public all files related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs pose further queries about precisely what the Justice Department has in its custody," said the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Made Public

Some of the images released on Thursday feature Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a female whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation facing Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the latest high-net-worth, influential figures to be pictured in Epstein property images published by the House Oversight Committee - formerly released pictures also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the photos is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and a number of the pictured men have stated they were not involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the image disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not supply context or timeframes for the images.

"Photographs were chosen to furnish the general populace with openness into a typical cross-section of the photographs obtained from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally troubling actions," the release states.

The disclosure also includes multiple photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in black ink across several locations of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, hipbone, and rear. Lolita recounts the story of a minor who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a quote from the work written across a woman's chest says, "Lolita: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of images of female identification and identification documents from states globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the documents, like identities and birth dates, is obscured but the committee indicated in a press release that the passports pertain to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

An additional image shows Epstein sitting at a desk intimately flanked by three women whose faces have been redacted - one has her hand on Epstein's chest under his garment, and another is leaning to look at a adjacent device. Epstein seems to be helping the final person attach a piece of jewelry.

An additional photograph released is a capture of digital messages from an unnamed sender who states they have been provided "several females" and are asking for "$one thousand dollars per girl".

Photo Release Occurs Ahead of DOJ Cut-off

The panel has thousands of images in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously disturbing and everyday," its press release on Thursday clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and records the Epstein estate submitted to the body are separate from what is often termed "the Epstein documents". Those files are records within the DOJ's control related to its own investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Transparency Act, which President Trump made law last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its documents. The extent of the contents found in the DOJ's files is not publicly known, and it's probable that a large amount of the material will be significantly obscured, akin to Congressional materials
