Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface from that period of that year.
Victory also means the Russian has secured 21 titles at twenty-one distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had led observers to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, supported by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial professional championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
He defended 4 initial chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
