Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
